REDWINE NAMED
TO ECU BOARD
David Redwine, a former state representative from Brunswick County, was named to the East Carolina University Board of Trustees on Friday (May 9) by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors.
Redwine, a 10-term member of the General Assembly and former co-chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, narrowly lost a re-election bid in November.
He replaces former Sen. Ed Warren on the ECU board. Warren, who had been appointed by the Board of Governors in March, died last month.
Redwine, an insurance broker and
a 1972 graduate of ECU, will be sworn in at the board's July 30 meeting.
